Job Description

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
  • Current or pending Illinois state licensure for Speech-Language Pathology
  • Eligibility for the Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge of best practices in assessment and intervention for speech, language, and social communication needs
  • Reliable organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Positive, student-centered approach to therapy

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct therapy services to students with speech and language needs in both individual and group settings
  • Conduct assessments and screenings to determine students speech and language strengths and challenges
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and families
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and services provided
  • Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support generalization of skills in the classroom environment
  • Participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, and ongoing professional development
  • Adapt therapy techniques and materials to meet diverse student needs
