Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Current or pending Illinois state licensure for Speech-Language Pathology
- Eligibility for the Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal communication skills
- Knowledge of best practices in assessment and intervention for speech, language, and social communication needs
- Reliable organizational skills and attention to detail
- Positive, student-centered approach to therapy
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy services to students with speech and language needs in both individual and group settings
- Conduct assessments and screenings to determine students speech and language strengths and challenges
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and families
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and services provided
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support generalization of skills in the classroom environment
- Participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, and ongoing professional development
- Adapt therapy techniques and materials to meet diverse student needs
