Step into a highly rewarding school-based opportunity in Modesto, CA, where two talented Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) are needed for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. This contract position offers full-time hours (35 per week) and the chance to work directly with students across a diverse caseload while making a daily impact on their communication skills. Under the guidance of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, youll carry out both direct and indirect services that support students growth and achievement.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold an active California SLPA License
- Experience working in school settings strongly preferred
- Comfortable delivering services to small groups and individual students under supervision
- Able to balance direct therapy, documentation, and collaboration with SLP
- Organized, communicative, and ready to be a positive presence in students lives
Role & Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language support services as directed by supervising SLP
- Engage students in evidence-based activities and support their progress on IEP goals
- Accurately document sessions and collaborate with school staff as needed
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and indirect service hours
- Follow all district, state, and federal regulations relevant to school-based practice
- Utilize the districts IEP system, with training provided if needed
- Work from a dedicated therapy space for optimal student engagement
