Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting secondary students for the upcoming school year in a vibrant educational environment. This full-time speech-language pathologist role offers the ability to create meaningful change, working closely with students with a wide range of needs including Other Health Impairments (OHI), learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and language impairments. With a manageable caseload of approximately 45-50 students and a consistent 35-hour work week, youll have the chance to apply your expertise and collaborative spirit in a supportive school setting.
Essential Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current and valid Maryland SLP license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Experience working with secondary (middle and high school) age students preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and other professionals
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy services to students in alignment with their IEPs
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individual treatment plans for diverse communication needs
- Participate in IEP meetings, completing timely and thorough documentation
- Collaborate with educators and families to support student progress
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment
- Maintain accurate records and provide progress updates as needed
