Job Summary

The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) provides evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment services for students in grades K12 with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. The SLP collaborates with teachers, administrators, parents, and special education teams to support student academic achievement and communication development.

Core Responsibilities

  • Conduct speech and language evaluations for K12 students.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy services.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and compliance records.
  • Collaborate with teachers and families to support classroom communication goals.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, staff meetings, and multidisciplinary team discussions.
  • Support students with articulation, fluency, voice, expressive/receptive language, and social communication needs.
  • Use evidence-based practices and assistive technology when appropriate.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust therapy plans as needed.
  • Promote positive student behavior, structure, and discipline within therapy sessions.
  • Maintain professional discipline in documentation and service delivery.
  • Encourage student self-discipline and communication confidence.

Key Qualifications

  • Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Valid state SLP license and/or Department of Education certification.
  • Experience working in K12 educational settings preferred.
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.

Compensation for this position ranges from $40.00 to $85.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
