Job Description

A full-time Speech Language Pathologist position is available in Cassopolis, MI, within a school setting, starting in April through the end of the academic year, with the potential to continue into the summer for Extended School Year (ESY) services. This contract role involves working with a diverse student population, including those who are emotionally impaired, moderately cognitively impaired, and severely impaired, with a caseload of approximately 55 students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language therapy services tailored to the needs of students with various levels of impairment.
  • Collaborate with educational staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Conduct assessments and track student progress to adjust therapy goals accordingly.
  • Utilize teletherapy methods as needed to support student access to services.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Active Michigan SLP license.
  • Experience working in school-based settings with pediatric populations.
  • Comfort and proficiency working with students experiencing a range of cognitive and emotional challenges.
