Job Description

Qualifications:

  • Active New York Speech-Language Pathologist license
  • TSSLD credential (Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
  • School-based experience preferred, especially supporting IEP and speech improvement students
  • Familiarity with elementary and secondary school caseloads

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and indirect speech-language services to approximately 70-75 students (including 20-30 IEP students and 45-55 speech improvement students)
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success
  • Participate in IEP meetings, maintain accurate documentation, and monitor student progress
  • Deliver therapy primarily to K-4th grade at one elementary school, with additional caseload at middle and high school levels (totaling about 35 students across these grades)
  • Support a wide variety of student needs within a positive and inclusive team
