School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist Near Carrollton, VA

A school district in Virginia is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support elementary students during the 20262027 school year. This is a full-time position for an SLP who enjoys working with children and collaborating with educators and families to help students reach their communication goals.

Position Details
Schedule: Full-Time | 37.5 hours/week
School Assignment: 1 Elementary School
Grade Level: Elementary
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: June 4, 2027

Responsibilities
Deliver speech and language therapy to elementary-aged students.
Identify and support students with a variety of communication needs.
Conduct screenings, evaluations, and diagnostic assessments.
Utilize standardized assessments, language samples, observations, and input from teachers and families.
Develop and maintain student records and required documentation.
Complete evaluation reports and monitor student progress.
Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with the educational team.
Work with teachers and families to implement strategies that support students communication and classroom success.

Qualifications
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
Valid state SLP license/certification.
ASHA CCC-SLP.
School-based experience preferred, but not required.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams.
