A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for the 2025-2026 school year, serving elementary school students in grades K-5 in Carpentersville, IL. This role involves working 37.5 hours per week within a school setting, providing essential speech and language services to support student communication development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations and provide individualized therapy to students in grades K-5
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary approaches to student success
- Support compliance with school policies and state regulations regarding speech-language services
Qualifications:
- Possession of a valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with an SLP endorsement
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred or required depending on the district
- Experience working with pediatric populations in school environments, including elementary, middle, or high school settings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills geared toward working with students, families, and staff
This position is a travel assignment, offering the opportunity to work onsite in Carpentersville, IL, within an elementary school environment for the full school year.
