Job Description

This position offers an opportunity for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to provide specialized support within a K-12 school environment, serving a diverse student population. The role requires an individual who is dedicated to delivering evidence-based speech and language therapy to students with a wide range of communication challenges. Located in Carlinville, IL, this contract appointment spans the full 2025-2026 school year, offering a structured schedule of 37.5 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of 50-60 students with varied speech and language disabilities
  • Deliver therapy services onsite across the district, which covers a small geographic area
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
  • Maintain detailed documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines

Qualifications:

  • Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech-Language Pathology endorsement for Illinois
  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology preferred
  • Experience in pediatric speech therapy, including cases typically seen in schools
  • Ability to work onsite and engage effectively with students and staff
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
