Skills & Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility to obtain licensure) as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Previous experience working with school-aged children or in an educational setting
- Strong knowledge of assessment tools, intervention techniques, and individualized education program (IEP) documentation
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Compassion and enthusiasm for supporting diverse student populations
- Ability to collaborate with classroom teachers, school staff, and families
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEPs tailored to student needs
- Deliver engaging therapy sessions both individually and in small groups
- Monitor, document, and report student progress toward established goals
- Provide resources and training to educators and caregivers to reinforce strategies
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to collaborative student support teams
- Stay up to date with best practices in school-based speech-language services
