Step into a fulfilling contract role supporting K-12 students with diverse communication needs. This opportunity is ideal for speech-language pathologists who are passionate about making a difference in educational settings and are skilled in both in-person and teletherapy service delivery. Work closely with students in grades K-12, addressing a spectrum of mild to moderate general and special education disabilities through individualized and group interventions.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Mississippi SLP License (required)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligible Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates welcome
- Experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
- Proficiency in assessments, evaluations, direct therapy, and participation in IEP meetings
- Comfortable delivering services both in-person and via teletherapy platforms
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language assessments and formal evaluations for students across multiple schools
- Design and deliver targeted therapy sessions based on each students unique goals and IEP requirements
- Document student progress, maintain detailed records, and contribute to multi-disciplinary team discussions
- Consult and coordinate with teachers, school staff, and families to maximize student outcomes
- Adapt intervention approaches for a variety of disabilities, focusing on mild to moderate needs within both general and special education
- Participate in engaging, conversational interviews with school administration
