Job Description

A school-based speech-language pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available to work with students from kindergarten through 12th grade within a school setting. This role focuses on supporting children with varied mild to moderate general and special education needs through comprehensive speech-language services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech and language assessments and evaluations to identify student needs
  • Provide direct therapy services tailored to individual student goals
  • Collaborate with educational staff and participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings
  • Document and report student progress in compliance with state regulations
  • Support a caseload encompassing diverse speech and language disorders in a school environment

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Licensed in speech-language pathology for the state of Mississippi
  • Experience working with pediatric populations in schools or healthcare settings
  • Familiarity with teletherapy service delivery is a plus
  • Ability to manage a full caseload and complete detailed documentation
  • Excellent communication skills suitable for collaboration with school teams and families

Location: This position is based in Canton, Mississippi, with service areas including nearby cities such as Jackson, Rolling Fork, and Vicksburg.

Schedule:

  • Full-time contract opportunity, approximately 37.5 hours per week
