What Youll Need:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in Michigan
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Experience with a variety of student populations: early childhood, elementary, middle, and high school
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with students, families, and educational teams
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques to meet individual student needs in a school environment
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders among students of varying ages
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students strengths and challenges
- Deliver engaging therapy sessions, using evidence-based approaches and creative activities
- Provide progress updates and consult with teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student outcomes
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation as required by school standards
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to developing comprehensive support plans for students
