This position seeks a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with CCC certification to provide specialized services within a K-12 educational setting in Brevard, NC. The role focuses on supporting students in grades 6 and 8, offering individualized speech therapy tailored to pediatric needs. The contract covers the remainder of the current school year, extended summer services (ESY) in July, and continuation through the next school year, emphasizing continuity of care by maintaining the same clinician.

Qualifications:

• Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology required
• Experience working with pediatric populations in healthcare or school settings
• Familiarity with school-based therapy, particularly in K-12 environments
• Ability to manage caseload based on a workload model capped at a manageable size
• Strong communication skills and collaboration within interdisciplinary teams

Location:

• Brevard, North Carolina

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct speech therapy services for approximately 2.5 hours per week to students in 6th and 8th grades
• Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and document progress
• Participate in paid administrative time and team meetings as required
• Provide itinerant services to the assigned school and coordinate care to ensure seamless support
• Support Extended School Year (ESY) programming in July and maintain services during the New School Year (NSY)
