Key Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA required
- Valid SLP license for practice (or eligibility) in the state
- Previous experience working in educational settings is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of speech, language, and communication disorders in children
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and other specialists effectively
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and intervention strategies
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of evaluations and progress
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to support students educational goals
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and progress reviews
- Provide consultation and resources to educators and parents to encourage carryover of skills
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current in best practices
