Job Description

Bring your passion for pediatric speech-language pathology to a supportive school setting near vibrant Cambridge, MA. This contract-to-hire opportunity is available for an experienced, credentialed Speech-Language Pathologist to make a meaningful impact on elementary-aged students (K-4) for the 2023-2024 school year. With a diverse caseload encompassing a wide variety of disabilities, you'll play a crucial part in fostering communication growth and academic success.

Candidates with recent school-based experience, full-time availability, and their Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) are encouraged to apply. The ideal applicant will hold a current Massachusetts SLP license as well as DESE certification.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current MA SLP license and DESE (Department of Elementary and Secondary Education) certification
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA (no Clinical Fellowships at this time)
  • Recent experience in a K-12 school-based setting, with preference for elementary experience
  • Confidence managing a varied caseload
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct therapy services to elementary students, primarily K-4
  • Evaluate and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to specific student needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support each childs goals
  • Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the educational planning process
