Step into a rewarding school-based contract-to-hire position supporting elementary students (K-4) with a variety of communication needs. This role starts at the beginning of the 23/24 school year and offers the chance to work full time, making a meaningful difference in childrens educational experiences and development.
The ideal candidate is a dynamic, fully credentialed Speech-Language Pathologist with ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) and DESE certification, ready to make an impact within a collaborative school environment. The district values professionals with recent experience serving in PreK-12 settings, particularly those with a passion for pediatric care and a comprehensive understanding of the needs found in diverse elementary caseloads.
Key qualifications:
- Active Massachusetts SLP license
- ASHA CCC required (CFs not accepted for this role)
- DESE certification
- Recent experience in school-based SLP roles (elementary preferred)
- Availability for a full-time 37.5-hour workweek
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfort working with a range of disabilities
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering direct therapy and evaluation services for K-4 students on diverse caseloads
- Developing and implementing IEP goals and maintaining accurate records
- Collaborating with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to advance student success
- Participating in school meetings and professional development opportunities
- Contributing to a positive, student-focused environment
