Job Description

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students across early childhood through 8th grade. This role involves collaborating with another Speech-Language Pathologist to provide direct intervention for a caseload of 70 students, split equitably between two professionals. The position is strictly on-site, located near Calumet City, IL, and spans the academic calendar from mid-August through late May, offering 33.75 work hours per week.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
  • Speech-Language Pathologist credential issued by IDFPR
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Previous school-based experience, ideally serving EC-8th grade students
  • Strong collaboration abilities and comfort splitting caseload responsibilities
  • ISBE number required for application consideration

What Youll Do:

  • Deliver speech and language services to students (ages EC-8th grade) in individual and small group settings
  • Maintain thorough documentation and student records in compliance with district and state guidelines
  • Engage in proactive communication with staff and families to support student progress
  • Participate in IEP meetings, team consultations, and professional development as required
  • Uphold the union regulations and guidelines set by the district
