Job Description

Make an impact supporting early learners as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a rewarding contract role based in the area of California, MD. Youll work in a school setting, providing essential services to young children and their families through a dedicated early intervention program. This position stretches across an 11-month schedule, beginning August 10th, 2026, and concluding June 17th, 2027.

Ideal candidates are passionate about pediatric communication development and bring expertise in school-based speech-language pathology. This is a full-time position, requiring partnership with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active Maryland SLP License (required)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Experience or strong interest in early intervention and school settings
  • Knowledge of evidence-based therapy and individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in children in a school/early intervention setting
  • Design, implement, and monitor individualized intervention plans and IEPs
  • Collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and related service providers
  • Maintain accurate records and submit necessary documentation on schedule
  • Engage families and caregivers in the therapy process to maximize progress
  • Participate in school meetings, professional development, and team consultations as required
