A contract opportunity is available for two Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to support elementary school students in Burnsville, MN. These positions provide essential speech and language services, focusing on general education needs such as language development and articulation. Both roles require onsite presence and offer the chance to work with diverse caseloads, including students with developmental cognitive disabilities and autism spectrum disorders in center-based programs.
Position Details:
- Position 1: Immediate start through April 8, 2026
- Position 2: February 1 through May 1, 2026 (with potential coverage extending through the school year)
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week
- Caseload: Approximately 50 students per caseload, spanning various disability areas
- Setting: Onsite in elementary schools
- Documentation System: Experience with IEP systems, preferably SpedForms
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Minnesota SLP license required
- Experience working in school settings preferred
- Familiarity with speech and language therapy for pediatric populations
- Ability to support students with autism spectrum disorders and cognitive disabilities is highly desirable
- Strong skills in articulation, language interventions, and IEP development
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to students across multiple elementary schools
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state and district policies
- Participate in team meetings and communicate progress to families and school professionals
