Step into an impactful role supporting students communication and language development as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist on a contract assignment. This opportunity allows you to work closely with students, educators, and families, creating an encouraging learning environment just outside the bustling heart of Burlington, NC.
What Youll Bring:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid SLP license in North Carolina (or eligibility to obtain)
- Clinical Certificate of Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; strong CFs welcome to apply
- Previous experience working with school-aged children is a plus
- Confident with speech, language, voice, and fluency assessments and interventions
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and other specialists
- Organized, compassionate, and a problem-solver at heart
Your Key Functions:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for K-12 students
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Deliver engaging therapy sessions, both one-on-one and in small groups
- Consult and collaborate with classroom teachers to support student goals
- Document progress and maintain thorough, compliant records
- Support family involvement by providing progress updates and strategies for home
- Take part in school-based meetings and professional development opportunities
