Step into a rewarding role supporting students communication and learning needs as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming academic year. This contract position is located near Burlington, NC, and runs from August 26, 2026, through June 10, 2027. You'll work on-site with a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, collaborating closely with educators and families to make a meaningful difference.
Qualifications and Credentials:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) from an accredited program
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
- Current, active SLP license for North Carolina and appropriate educator certifications
- Experience working with school-aged children preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, organizational abilities, and dedication to student-centered care
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide therapeutic interventions for students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders within the school setting
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and collaborate on IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Provide direct therapy services to a diverse caseload (age groups and size to be determined)
- Maintain clear and timely documentation for all assessments, sessions, and communications
- Consult with teachers, specialists, and families to support generalization of skills in the classroom and at home
