Job Description

A certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide services in a K-12 school setting located in Brooklyn, NY. This contract position runs for the current school year (CSY) and offers the opportunity to support students across all grade levels with speech and language therapy needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech and language evaluations and screenings for students
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on assessment results
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes in compliance with school and regulatory guidelines
  • Participate in team meetings and Individualized Education Program (IEP) discussions

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid Speech-Language Pathology certification (SLP) with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
  • Experience working with school-aged children in K-12 settings
  • Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders and evidence-based therapy techniques
  • Ability to effectively communicate with students, families, and school personnel
  • Familiarity with educational laws and regulations related to special education services
