This contract position based in Bronx, NY offers a rewarding opportunity for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) dedicated to supporting student communication needs within a school setting. The role focuses on delivering therapeutic services that enhance students speech, language, and communication abilities to promote their academic success and social interaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and create individualized treatment plans for students with speech and language impairments.
- Provide direct therapy services and consult with educators, parents, and staff to support students communication goals.
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and student progress in compliance with school policies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective communication interventions.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development activities related to speech-language pathology.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) certification required.
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) strongly preferred.
- Experience working in school settings providing speech and language therapy to a diverse student population.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
