Job Description
Make a real difference by supporting young learners as a Speech-Language Pathologist in an elementary school setting. This rewarding contract position focuses on K-2nd grade students and offers the opportunity to foster communication skills crucial for early development. As an added benefit, youll guide and mentor a Clinical Fellow (CF) and a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA), so substantial hands-on experience in supervising is a must.
Qualifications
- Active CT SLP CCC license required
- Prior experience working in schools with K-2nd grade populations
- Demonstrated ability to support, supervise, and mentor a CF and SLPA
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Passion for early intervention and collaborative teamwork
Responsibilities
- Assess and provide direct speech and language therapy services to elementary-aged children
- Work collaboratively with general and special education teachers to support student progress
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and maintain detailed documentation
- Supervise and provide guidance to a CF and SLPA, supporting their professional growth
- Communicate effectively with families, teachers, and support staff
- Engage in professional development and contribute to a positive, student-focused environment
