Job Description

Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students as a Speech Language Pathologist serving PreK-12th grade populations. This dynamic contract position in the New Haven area offers the flexibility of both full-time and part-time schedules, providing essential speech and language services within a collaborative school environment.

Your role will involve working directly with students who have a range of speech, language, and communication needs. Whether providing onsite support or teletherapy services, your expertise will make an immediate impact on student development and success.

Qualifications & Desired Skills:

  • Valid Speech Language Pathology license and ASHA CCCs or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
  • Previous experience in pediatric, school-based, or healthcare SLP settings strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with providing speech-language services via teletherapy platforms is a plus
  • Strong ability to collaborate with teachers, parents, and related service professionals
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation skills
  • Comfortable managing a diverse caseload spanning PreK through 12th grade

Responsibilities Include:

  • Conducting individualized speech and language assessments
  • Developing and executing IEP-driven therapy plans for students
  • Delivering direct and consultative therapy sessions, both in-person and virtual as appropriate
  • Tracking and reporting student progress towards individualized goals
  • Participating in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team collaborations
  • Consulting with teachers, families, and staff to promote generalization of skills
