As a certified Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in pediatric care, you'll collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to help foster growth in students language, articulation, and social communication skills.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current or eligibility for state SLP licensure
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Prior experience working in pediatric or school-based settings
- Strong communication and collaborative problem-solving skills
- Passion for working with children of diverse backgrounds and abilities
Essential Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Deliver direct therapy services to students according to IEP objectives
- Participate in IEP meetings and communicate ongoing progress with educational teams and parents
- Maintain detailed records of student therapy sessions, assessments, and outcomes
- Utilize a variety of interventions and creative strategies to meet student needs
- Provide guidance and resources to classroom teachers for integrating communication goals into everyday learning
