Step into a rewarding contract position working with students as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) near vibrant Boston, MA. In this role, youll make a direct impact by assessing, diagnosing, and treating communication disorders in school-aged children, supporting their ability to succeed academically and socially.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Active SLP license and certification (CCC required)
- Experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of speech, language, and communication assessments
- Strong interpersonal abilities for collaborating with educators, students, and families
- Expert organizational and documentation skills
- Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive educational environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for students with speech and language needs
- Deliver engaging, evidence-based therapy sessions, both individual and group
- Document progress, update goals, and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Consult with teachers, parents, and other educational staff to integrate therapy into the classroom setting
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate on developing appropriate accommodations
- Offer professional guidance to staff and families regarding communication challenges and resources
