This role centers on providing direct support to PreK students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Youll work closely with a small, manageable caseload of 6-8 children, offering individualized therapy and collaborating with an experienced educational team. The working hours are staff-friendly, from 7:45 am to 1:30 pm, aligning with student hours of 8 am to 1 pm.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology and active state licensure
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting
- Familiarity with ASD interventions and techniques
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Commitment to fostering inclusive, supportive learning environments
Responsibilities Include:
- Conducting assessments and developing targeted speech and language therapy plans for PreK students with ASD
- Delivering engaging sessions tailored to individual student needs
- Collaborating with teachers, paraprofessionals, and families to ensure comprehensive support
- Documenting progress, participating in IEP meetings, and recommending strategies for classroom integration
- Staying current with best practices in school-based speech-language pathology
