Job Description
Step into a rewarding position supporting elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathologist. This contract-to-hire opportunity is located near Boston and focuses on serving K-4th grade students with a diverse range of communication needs. Collaborate with a passionate educational team to make a significant impact on student progress and communication skills during the 20232024 school year.
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Hold an active Massachusetts SLP license and current DESE certification
- Achieved Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP); clinical fellows are not eligible for this assignment
- Recent experience in a public school setting providing pediatric speech-language services preferred
- Expertise working with children across a range of disabilities and communication disorders in elementary populations
- Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
- Ability to commit to a full-time schedule (37.5 hours weekly), supporting students across K-4 grades
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for elementary students with speech, language, and communication challenges
- Provide direct therapeutic interventions in accordance with IEPs
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Maintain thorough documentation of services, evaluations, and student outcomes
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational programming
- Travel may be required between multiple schools in the area
