Ideal candidates bring expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist with prior school-based experience, and are confident collaborating across grade levels to support students communication and academic success.
Key Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Illinois SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year supervision available
- Previous experience in a school setting with K-12 students preferred
- Strong evaluation, documentation, and communication skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
Responsibilities Include:
- Conducting assessments to determine students speech, language, and communication needs
- Developing IEP goals tailored to individual student requirements
- Delivering direct therapy services, both individual and group, to diverse K-12 populations
- Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and families to promote student progress
- Maintaining timely, accurate records and participating in IEP meetings
- Staying current with best practices and developments in the field
