Job Description

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students from Pre-Kindergarten through Eighth Grade in a dynamic, inclusive educational setting near Bolingbrook, IL. This role centers on providing expert Speech-Language Pathology services during two designated leave periods (August-November, October-January), collaborating with a passionate team to elevate student communication skills and academic success.

You will be working within a caseload model, with a consistent weekly schedule of 33.75 hours, Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 3:15 PM. As a valued clinical professional, youll play an essential role in direct therapy, conducting assessments and evaluations, and contributing to Individualized Education Program (IEP) development for a diverse group of learners.

Desired Skills & Credentials:

  • Valid Illinois SLP-CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology)
  • Active Illinois PEL (Professional Educator License)
  • Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably within a school-based setting
  • Aptitude in teletherapy practices (preferred)
  • Comfort and skill in administering assessments, evaluations, and developing IEPs
  • New graduates in CFY status are encouraged to apply if credentials are met

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to students in grades Pre-K through 8th
  • Conduct comprehensive speech-language assessments and evaluations
  • Develop, implement, and update IEPs in coordination with multidisciplinary teams
  • Collaborate closely with educators, families, and support staff to foster student growth
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development as required
