Step into a rewarding school-based opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting Pre-K through 8th-grade students for two upcoming leave coverage periods. As a valued member of the educational team, youll work within a caseload model, providing direct therapy, conducting assessments and evaluations, and developing impactful IEPs. Your expertise will directly help students gain confidence in their communication skills, supporting their academic and social success.
What youll bring:
- Current IL SLP-CCC and active Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Experience in pediatric, school-based settings preferred
- Skilled in direct therapy and teletherapy approaches
- Confident conducting assessments, evaluations, and writing effective IEPs
- Open to SLP-CFY candidates eager to gain school-based experience
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a collaborative, student-centered environment
Your responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language services for students from Pre-K through 8th grade
- Complete thorough assessments and participate in eligibility determination
- Develop and document individualized IEPs in partnership with staff and families
- Engage in scheduled contract hours Monday-Friday, 8:00am3:15pm, totaling 33.75 hours per week
- Foster positive relationships with staff, students, and families, contributing to a supportive school community
