Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences & Disorders
  • Current Texas SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Previous experience in a school setting is highly desirable
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with students of all ages
  • Comfortable with IEP processes, progress monitoring, and crafting individualized intervention plans
  • Flexible, organized, and adept at collaborating within multidisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students referred by educators and parents
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
  • Provide direct therapy services, both individually and in small groups, to enhance speech, language, and communication skills
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Participate in IEP meetings, offering insights and recommendations for student goals and accommodations
  • Consult regularly with teachers and families to support classroom integration of strategies
  • Monitor and report student progress, adjusting interventions as needed
