Desired Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid SLP license in the state of Florida (or eligibility to obtain one)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred; strong CFY candidates considered
- Previous experience in educational settings highly valued
- Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, including teachers, parents, and other school staff
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate students referred for speech-language concerns
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy services within a school setting
- Work collaboratively with teachers, counselors, and families to maximize student outcomes
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide input into multidisciplinary student support teams
- Educate fellow staff and families about strategies and resources that support speech and language development
