Job Description

A full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available to serve students across multiple K-12 schools in Palm Beach County, Florida. Working on-site, this contract position runs from ASAP through May 29, 2026, offering a diverse caseload involving students from regular education, pre-kindergarten, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), hearing impairment (DHH), and other specialized needs.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing assessment, diagnosis, and individualized treatment for speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders across assigned school locations
  • Collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement evidence-based intervention plans
  • Maintaining accurate and timely documentation and progress reports adhering to school district standards
  • Participating in IEP meetings and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Supporting communication goals tailored to various age groups and developmental stages

Qualifications:

  • Current Florida Speech-Language Pathologist license from the Department of Health is required
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
  • Experience working with pediatric populations in educational settings, especially serving students with ASD and other disabilities
  • Ability to manage diverse caseloads across multiple sites
  • Successful completion of fingerprinting and eligibility clearance via the Florida AHCA Clearinghouse
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

Locations include a variety of schools across the county, such as Boca Raton, Belle Glade, West Palm Beach, and surrounding areas, offering a caseload that may range from .3 to 4.0 full-time equivalents depending on the site and student needs.

This contract role requires 35 hours per week on-site, with standard daily shifts of 7 hours. Candidates will undergo a prescreen interview process to assess suitability before placement.
