Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA required
- Experience working with school-aged children preferred
- Strong knowledge of varied communication disorders
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to adapt to diverse needs and work effectively in interdisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students to assess speech, language, and communication abilities
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Deliver direct therapy services within the school setting
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other support staff
- Participate in IEP meetings, provide thorough documentation and maintain records
- Offer guidance to staff regarding classroom strategies for communication needs
- Monitor, track, and report student progress
- Maintain compliance with all local and federal regulations
