Job Description
Make a meaningful difference this school year by providing essential speech-language services to a dedicated Autism program. This onsite, contract position offers the opportunity to support students in a collaborative elementary school environment. The assignment runs from August 17, 2026, to September 4, 2026, covering a maternity leave, with full-time hours Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 4:40pm. This is an excellent role for those who specialize in working with students on the autism spectrum and enjoy creating supportive, structured environments to encourage communication growth.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid and current Speech-Language Pathology license in the state
- SLP-CCC credential required
- Proven experience working in a school-based setting, preferably with children on the autism spectrum
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to develop and implement IEP goals tailored to individual student needs
- Positive team player with collaborative approach to working alongside teachers and staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy to students in the autism program, both in group and individual settings
- Screen, assess, and document student progress according to school and state guidelines
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, aides, and related service professionals to support student communication objectives
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing insights and recommendations for student supports
- Maintain accurate, timely records and uphold confidentiality standards
