Qualifications & Experience:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active state licensure (or eligibility) as an SLP in Alabama
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but strong Clinical Fellowship (CF) candidates are encouraged to apply
  • Previous experience working with school-age children recommended
  • Knowledge of IEP process and familiarity with diverse caseloads, including articulation, language, and social communication
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech, language, and hearing screenings
  • Develop and implement IEPs tailored to individual student needs
  • Provide direct therapy services and consult with teachers, parents, and staff
  • Maintain detailed documentation of evaluations, progress reports, and session notes
  • Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development sessions
  • Use innovative strategies and evidence-based practices to foster student success
