Key Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility
• Valid state license (or the ability to obtain one prior to start)
• Previous experience in a school setting preferred, but strong clinical skills from other settings considered
• Ability to evaluate, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for students with communication disorders
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and families

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assess and identify students with speech, language, voice, or fluency impairments
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
• Provide direct therapy sessions, both individual and group, in accordance with IEP requirements
• Consult with teachers, parents, and staff to support generalization of communication goals in the classroom
• Maintain appropriate documentation, tracking student progress and making adjustments to treatment as necessary
• Attend professional development opportunities and stay current on best practices in school speech therapy
