Job Description

This contract position offers a rewarding opportunity to work with a diverse caseload of students with mild to moderate needs within a supportive school community near Big Lake, AK, serving areas including Point Mackenzie, Butte, and Palmer.

Youll work with an average caseload of 4550 students, with some high school settings tending toward consultative support for up to 60 students. The setting fosters professional growth, and previous SLPs speak highly of the supportive, enthusiastic teams youll join.

Qualifications:

  • Active Alaska SLP license required
  • Current DEED (teaching) certification
  • Experience with school-based SLP services preferred
  • Ability to engage with students across elementary, middle, and high school age groups
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and create intervention plans for students with speech and language needs
  • Deliver direct and consultative services in individual and group settings
  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student success
  • Serve as a resource for staff regarding speech and language development
