Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students K-12 as a Speech Language Pathologist or Speech Language Pathologist Assistant for the 26/27 school year. This onsite, contract position is based in the vibrant Portland, ME area and is ideal for professionals passionate about helping learners access communication through AAC systems.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Active Maine Speech Language Pathologist License
- Maine Educator Certification
- SLP-CCC or experience in school-based settings preferred
- Experience supporting students who use or need AAC devices
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills
What You'll Be Doing:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to a diverse K-12 caseload
- Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to student needs
- Assess, recommend, and help integrate AAC systems into classroom and therapy settings
- Document progress, maintain IEPs, and communicate regularly with educators and caregivers
- Work alongside teachers, fellow therapists, and support staff to create inclusive learning environments
- Participate in team meetings to share insight and collaborate on student success
