Job Description
A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to provide essential speech and language services within a K-12 school setting. This contract role is located near Bethlehem, PA, serving students throughout Carbon and Lehigh Counties. The assignment involves working under an Early Intervention calendar year-round, with the potential to extend through the 2026-27 school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students from kindergarten through 12th grade
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in accordance with school policies
- Participate in meetings and provide guidance on communication strategies and interventions
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Pennsylvania Speech Language Pathologist License required
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology preferred
- Experience working as an SLP in a school setting is essential
- Strong knowledge of speech and language development, disorders, and intervention techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, families, and school personnel
