As a speech-language pathologist, you will be placed at locations based on operational needsnever virtually, always on-sitesupporting pediatric and adolescent learners.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Valid Professional Educator Certification
- Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders from a regionally accredited institution
- Strong foundation in the laws, rules, and regulations related to educational services for children with disabilities
- Familiarity with pediatric and adolescent cognitive and physical development, as well as relevant diagnostic instruments
- Solid understanding of terminology surrounding physical and learning disabilities
- Ability to interpret and analyze data, as well as relevant policies and regulations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Preferred: ASHA Certification and ABSESPA Licensure
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments to determine student needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy and intervention plans
- Work collaboratively with IEP teams and related service providers
- Maintain accurate data and documentation in accordance with state and federal guidelines
- Provide consultative support and education to teachers and families
- Adapt and tailor services to accommodate a diverse caseload
