Job Description

A Speech Language Pathologist position is available in Bessemer, AL, focused on serving K-12 students in a school setting. This contract opportunity involves a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week over 5 days, providing comprehensive speech and language support to children throughout their educational journey.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) licensure in Alabama
  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology preferred
  • Experience working with pediatric populations in school settings
  • Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required
  • Familiarity with educational requirements and therapeutic interventions for K-12 students

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech and language assessments for students to identify communication disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the needs of each student
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to integrate therapy goals within the educational environment
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide timely documentation
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute speech-language expertise
