Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students with speech and language needs for the 26/27 school year. This position is ideal for a passionate SLP who thrives in a collaborative environment and is fluent in both English and Spanish. Enjoy a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., providing a balanced workday and the chance to make a genuine difference.
In this school-based role, youll work primarily with K-9th grade students, focusing on those in 6th grade and below. Your caseload will include 14 students who have IEPs, as well as 9 who receive consultative services. Mild to moderate cases will allow you to focus on meaningful progress and support. Youll utilize Embrace software for IEP management and share a collaborative space with the case manager, fostering partnership and professional growth.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Illinois SLP license and Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish required
- Experience in pediatric and/or school settings highly valued
- SLP-CCC or CFY considered
- Comfort with IEP development and documentation
- Familiarity with Embrace IEP software a plus
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver both direct and consultative speech-language services
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs
- Collaborate closely with educators, administrators, and families
- Document progress toward goals and maintain compliance
- Participate in team meetings and professional development
