Job Description

Step into a fulfilling contract role supporting students communication and educational journey for the upcoming 26/27 school year. This position offers 21 hours each week and focuses on providing speech-language services to a mild-to-moderate caseload primarily serving elementary and middle school-aged children, from kindergarten through ninth grade. The group includes 14 students with active IEPs and 9 students receiving consultative support.

Collaboration is integral, and youll be sharing office space with a dedicated case manager, fostering a team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will be experienced in using Embrace IEP software and bring a compassionate, innovative approach to pediatric speech therapy.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Illinois SLP license
  • Professional Educator License (PEL)
  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
  • Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) welcomed
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) highly regarded
  • Experience in pediatric, school-based, or healthcare SLP settings
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish considered a significant asset

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments, develop and implement speech-language treatment plans
  • Document progress and maintain compliance with IEPs and district protocols
  • Collaborate with case managers, educators, and families
  • Deliver services primarily to students in grades K9, focusing on 6th grade and younger
  • Participate in IEP meetings and consult with staff
  • Effectively utilize Embrace IEP software for documentation and communication
