This role provides vital speech-language services to a diverse caseload, split between two professionals to ensure individualized attention and growth. Key Qualifications:
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Speech-Language Pathologist credential from IDFPR
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Experience working in school settings with students from early childhood through middle school is preferred
- Ability to uphold union guidelines regarding the interview process
- ISBE number required upon presentation for consideration
What Youll Do:
- Provide speech-language therapy services on-site to a caseload of approximately 35 students
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for students with communication disorders
- Collaborate closely with educators, families, and support staff to facilitate students educational progress
- Maintain thorough documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Split caseload responsibilities with another SLP to optimize student care and service delivery
- Engage as a valuable team member in a dynamic, supportive school environment
This assignment, based near Berwyn, Illinois, is strictly on-site and does not accommodate teletherapy. Candidates should anticipate the interview process may extend until May in alignment with union requirements, and proactive communication is encouraged.
