Experience a rewarding contract position supporting K-12 students with a diverse array of needs in a school-based setting. This opportunity offers the chance to provide meaningful speech-language services near the Belzoni area, working remotely and onsite with an engaging team. With a caseload of K-12 students exhibiting mild to moderate disabilities, you'll deliver crucial support through assessment, evaluation, direct therapy, and IEP management.
What we're seeking:
- Valid and active MS SLP license required
- SLP-CCC or SLP-CFY candidates considered
- Experience in pediatric speech-language pathology
- Familiarity with school-based service models preferred
- Comfort with teletherapy and onsite responsibilities
- Knowledge of best practices in developing and implementing IEPs
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach
- Motivated self-starter with strong organizational abilities
Key responsibilities:
- Complete comprehensive speech-language assessments and evaluations
- Develop and deliver individualized and group therapy sessions
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to support student progress
- Participate in and contribute to IEP meetings and documentation
- Adapt therapy methods for mild to moderate general and special education needs
- Maintain timely written progress notes, reports, and required documentation
- Utilize teletherapy platforms as needed to reach students
This contract position is set to begin as soon as possible and continues through June, with a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours per week. The environment offers an excellent opportunity for growth for new clinicians (CFY) and seasoned SLPs alike. Interview style is conversational with quick decisions typically made within 24-48 hours.
