A professional opportunity is available for Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) to serve a K-12 school setting in Belzoni, MS. This contract position involves providing speech-language support to a diverse caseload of students with varied mild to moderate general and special education needs. The role starts as soon as possible and extends through June 2023, with a workweek of 37.5 hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments and evaluations
- Deliver direct therapy tailored to individual student needs
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with educators and staff to support student progress
Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current MS SLP License is required
- Experience in school-based settings with K-12 populations
- Familiarity with mild to moderate disabilities and varied caseloads
- Strong skills in assessments, therapy, and IEP development
- Background in pediatrics, healthcare, teletherapy, or completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is desirable
