Job Description

Make a direct impact in elementary education by supporting students in grades K-5 as a Speech-Language Pathologist. This contract position is located near Belleville, MI, and focuses on delivering in-person therapy and assessment services throughout the remainder of the school year. Full-time hours average 37.5 per week, but candidates seeking part-time schedules are also welcome to apply. Competitive benefits are included for qualifying professionals.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Current state licensure (or eligibility) as an SLP
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Previous experience working with elementary-aged children, especially in school settings
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, documentation, and organizational skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work with diverse student populations
  • Commitment to best practices in therapy and student-centered care

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments, screenings, and evaluations to identify communication disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs and IEP goals
  • Provide targeted therapy in both individual and group settings
  • Consult and collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and families
  • Document progress, update goals, and prepare regular reports in compliance with district and state requirements
  • Participate in IEP and team meetings, contributing expertise to promote student success
