Step into a rewarding opportunity as a Speech Language Pathologist with a contract role serving the Baltimore area. Youll have the chance to make a real impact, providing direct support to students in an on-site school setting for the 20262027 academic year. This position spans from early September through mid-June, offering a consistent MondayFriday schedule, totaling 37.5 hours per week.
In this dynamic role, youll work directly with students across varied age groups, helping them overcome communication challenges and supporting their educational progress and social development. Exact caseload details and school assignments will be determined closer to the start date, ensuring alignment with your expertise.
Desired Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Active Maryland professional license in Speech-Language Pathology (proof required)
- School-based experience or strong interest in working with pediatric populations
- Ability to complete district-mandated background check and fingerprinting per House Bill 486
- Willingness to participate in a prescreen interview to determine best fit for assignment
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in school-aged children
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to support student goals
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district and federal guidelines
- Communicate progress and strategies with teachers and caregivers
