Job Description
Make a difference in the lives of students by providing speech-language services in a supportive and collaborative school setting for the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time contract opportunity offers several rewarding positions for dedicated Speech-Language Pathologists near Bear, DE.
Youll work onsite in one of three roles:
- Itinerant Early Childhood (not open to CF or SLPA; SLP-CCC required)
- Middle School (grades 6-8; open to SLP-CF)
- Elementary B.R.I.D.G.E.S program (serving students with intensive needs; SLP-CCC required)
Monday through Friday schedule, 8:25 am to 3:55 pm, with a 30-minute paid lunch each day. Hours are based on the prior school year and may shift slightly. Begin your assignment August 19, 2026, and finish on June 15, 2027.
What youll bring:
- Active Delaware SLP license (must submit with application)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (where indicated)
- Previous experience in a school-based SLP position highly valued
- Strong communication skills with students, staff, and families
- Compassion, flexibility, and a team-oriented approach
- For the Middle School position, Clinical Fellowship (CF) candidates are welcome
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver speech, language, and communication therapy to assigned caseloads
- Conduct assessments, develop IEPs, and track student progress
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to foster student success
- Maintain consistent documentation and adhere to professional guidelines
- Engage with families and teachers to provide support and education
