Make a difference in the lives of students as a contracted Speech-Language Pathologist in a school setting. Support learners of all ages by helping them develop vital communication and language skills in a collaborative and supportive educational environment. Youll work closely with teachers, special education staff, and families to foster student progress and confidence.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Valid state licensure or eligibility to obtain required license/certification
- Experience in educational settings, especially working with children and adolescents
- Proficiency in assessment and intervention for a range of speech, language, and communication disorders
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with staff and families
- Ability to create individualized therapy plans and monitor progress
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and provide direct therapy to students with speech-language needs, both individually and in small groups
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Work as a member of multidisciplinary teams to evaluate student needs and progress
- Consult with classroom teachers, aides, and parents to support carryover of therapy strategies
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and reports
- Participate in IEP meetings and professional development opportunities
- Stay current on best practices, protocols, and requirements in school-based speech therapy
